After the disapointment of yesterday we spoke to one of the locals from the hostel and he reckoned we should head up the coast past Table view and try the beaches up there.
The beach past big bay was super long so we drove past it first and then up and down to find a good surf spot. Found a good place about 1k north of big bay resort and joined one other surfer out there. It looked as though there would be a strong current with the crosshore wind and there was. It was a mean one so it was constant paddling to stay in the same spot.

We didnt stay out long as it was too tiring so we called it a day and drove to the resoprt to watch all the kitesurfers. There were absolutely tonnes of them, never seen so many in one place before. There musta been at least 40 or so with the impressive Table mountain in the background so wwas pretty scenic. Driving back towards Capetown, there were loadsa windsurfers in some lagoon on the left had side of the motorway who were screaming along in the strong winds.

then went to Camps bay to check the surf there but it was rubbish so chilled out on the beach ther for a while and bodysurfed in the small waves with no wetsuit which was painful!!
